Krista + James Engagements
Happy FriYAY, y'all! We had a freak cold front roll in late last night taking us from the warmest day of winter here in central Texas (80 degrees, say WHAT!) to the coldest!!! With Valentine's Day right around the corner and this weekend's frigid weather looking like the perfect excuse to bake cookies and stay in watching Netflix, I figured what better time than now to introduce you to one of my all time favorite couples?!?
Krista & James: where to begin, y'all!
For starters, this couple is super special to me because Krista is one of my oldest and dearest friends. Over the past decade, we have gone from a couple of broke college kids to struggling young professionals to thriving full time artists, finding our own. Krista and I first met our freshman year of college at UT. We instantly bonded over our studio art majors, our love for bikes, cookie dough, movies, and live music. After our sophomore year of college, we spent our first summer in Austin away from our respective homes and I would say that is when we took our friendship from BFF to BFFFFFL level - you know the one. We spent those long summer days riding our bikes to Barton Springs after summer school and having sleep overs after camping at the lake on the weekends. From that point on, Krista and I were inseparable. So much so, that by the time our senior year came around, we decided to become roomies. We were already spending basically every single day together, so it just made sense.
I am honored to still call Krista, to this day, one of my best friends.
When Krista first met James, I knew he was different. He shared Krista's love for Ghost Busters, big dogs, and Netflix marathons, AND he could rap every word of Krista's favorite Beastie Boy songs right along side her -- plus, he had this super, sexy English accent and was super tall which meant Krista could rock her high heels as much as she wanted without thinking twice.
Suffice to say, James is the bagel to Krista's cheese, the j to her pb; watching their love grow has been such a joy and I can't wait to stand by Krista's side this fall as they say "I Do." I hope you enjoy these beautiful images from their engagement session a few weeks ago as much as I do. If you can't tell already, these two are no fun at all ;) I love you, K + J! Let's get you two married!!! xoxoxo
